
Greenworks is a Community Interest Company that specialises in enabling people to access and use outdoor spaces in order to develop a community culture of respect for the natural world. It is made up of a partnership of experienced outdoor educators that have over 40 years experience of running successful and innovative bespoke programmes in a range of diverse community and educational settings.
Greenworks has a successful track record of developing accessible, innovative and highly engaging programmes of outdoor learning for schools and the wider community. These enable participants to develop a closer relationship with their surrounding environment through a variety of hands on activities that engage all the senses and develop new skills and knowledge. In addition they provide the further benefits of: opportunities for group work and individual discovery and play; increased confidence and motivation; activities that benefit mental and physical health; and the development of incentive and reward schemes.
Greenworks is a member of the Institute for Outdoor Learning and the Forest Education Initiative. It has endorsed the Department for Children, Schools and Families Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto.

Training Days
Greenworks delivers a variety of set and bespoke training sessions to enable education workers to develop and deliver their own outdoor learning programmes with confidence. This includes an introduction to a variety of models, such as: Forest School, Earth Education and Bushcraft activities. Greenworks also runs inset days to introduce a range of activities for outdoor learning to the wider school community. More information can be found in the reviews section of this website.
Development of outdoor learning spaces
In school grounds or other settings Greenworks can work closely with the people who use them to design and develop spaces that enable inspired outdoor learning. Greenworks works in partnership with the Green Play Project who are specialists in the development of natural and inspiring creative play spaces. This is a unique opportunity for spaces to be developed that enhance learning combined with specialist training for education workers to use them in new and exciting ways. This may include the development of outdoor classrooms and the creation of specialist activity spaces for environmental learning and bushcraft activities.
