Courses for Education Workers
Run by Greenworks - a Community Interest Company that specialises in enabling people to access and use outdoor space in order to develop a community culture of respect for the natural world.These courses are aimed at education workers who engage young people in both formal and informal settings. The courses will make the most of a variety of fantastic outdoor learning environments.
An Introduction to leading outdoor learning activities
Dates: tbc
Times: 1 day 10 am - 5pm
Cost: £150
Tutors: Greenworks will have a minimum of 2 tutors running the course.
Numbers: Max 10
Outline: This course will introduce you to a range of outdoor activities that are creative and inspirational approaches to engaging young people in learning about the natural world. You will learn a range of accessible activities that focus on developing a relationship between young people and the world around them through experiential and hands on learning.
In addition the course will briefly introduce you to Health and Safety and suitable resources.

Developing your outdoor learning programme
Dates: tbc
Times: 5 days - 10 am - 5pm
Cost: £500
Tutors: Greenworks will have a minimum of 2 tutors running the course.
Numbers: Max 10
Outline: This course will explore a range of models for running and developing outdoor learning programmes - including - Earth Education, Environmental games and activities and woodland/bush craft activities. Through learning a variety of activities and exploring how to combine these you will create an inspiring and effective education programme for using with young people that you work with. In addition the course will look at health and safety implications for developing a safe and accessible programme, resources and further training.
